30.M FOR BURSARY IN SIAYA COUNTY

Siaya county Education ministry has set aside Ksh.30 million for the education, saying this will help the county to archive the education plan in the county.

The money will be given to the needy school going children and it’s expected to help the parent to take their children to school without fear of lacking the fee when school re- opens.

Madam Christine Ayu the minister in charge said the money is parts of the budgetary allocation of 4.1 billion.

Mrs. Ayu said that the 30 million will go for the funding and expect no conflict of interest to serve those in serious need and not the ones who have yet wants more without considering others.

“Let we give the needy but not those who have yet still wants more,”Ayu said

Her ministry has promised to fund the boarding children at Ksh.15, 000 and day going school children at Ksh.5, 000 and this will be only in public schools all over the county.

She added that another one million will be given to each county wards to further fund other vulnerable children that might not been funded by the governor’s office. Says Anyul.
