Two students from Nyalenda B ward have won full term secondary school fees sponsorship from Gilani Foundation.
The ward representative James Were says he secured Sh. 80,000 for both students, one invited at Lwak Girls and the other at Nakuru Girls.
Were says the two girls excelled in KCPE and were deserving to be given sponsorship for them to continue with their education in secondary level.
“The student comes from the slum area that if we as the area leaders can’t help them, then they will have no one to run to”. Say the area leader
He says he will still reach out to other partners and donors to assist in giving out school fees to needy but bright students.
Joel Mercy Omondi who received the school fees was overwhelmed with joy for the support. She says she will work hard to ensure she excels in her schooling.
The other lucky student Achieng Odiwuor of Lwak Girls who was delighted says, the support is a guarantee she will do her first term without any hiccup in paying school fees.
She says it is now her turn to perform to prove that the support was well
