Canadian-based Kenyan fashion model Everline Aboka has been nominated for the African-Canadian model of the year in the African Fashion Week Toronto, under the African Fashion Industry Awards (AFIA).
Aboka, an award winning model posted on her facebook page “… #Humbled#DreamComeTrue. Being nominated for this alone is a big plus for my modelling career… Thank you very very much African Fashion Week Toronto. #TeamAfrica#TeamFashionMadeInAfrica.”The Kisumu-bred model started modelling professionally in Kenya in 2005 and has several awards to her name with the most recent being in April 2013 when she trounced models from more than 47 countries to win the coveted Top Model World Wide in London, United Kingdom. Other accolades include Miss International Woman 2006 and 2007, Miss Wakilisha Na Trust Kenya 2006, M-Net Face of Africa Finalist 2008, Miss World Kenya Finalist 2009 among others.
