Have you ever felt cheated? Maybe it was just a coincidence that you were at the wrong place at the right time and the entrepreneur took advantage, maybe your ignorance led you to being cheated, don’t be ashamed because business today recognizes customers as king hence the right to know or to be explained to remains with the customer.
A customer does not have to know total information pertaining to a product; either does he have to beg because his essence remains with purchasing quality products, if the business entity can prove to be reliable customers wouldn’t even bother with the content of ingredients and standards mark. The customer remains the independent variable in the quotient. His independent position makes him have the ability to choose. Like economist would say choice takes a very big chunk of determining trends in an economy and trends are the few factors that makes business and entrepreneurs successful. So to choose or not to choose kings may just make business a key trending tit bit of society and community.
You see customers are not aliens neither are they beast from another planet. Customers are you and me, suppliers,’ traders,’ businessmen, entrepreneurs’ presidents, the sick etc .This people make up society and community. In Africa especially Kenya we believe in the power of the community, where the community is responsible for you in birth ( this is where a child is known by his address. You see apart from this p.o box we know there is Nyalego, Nyasuba Jakorando e.t.c which represents your community) then there is responsibility for you in growth and development (this is where; when you manage to go to university the community ululates and in case you don’t make it under our education system they either cry foul to their ancestor or neighbors or see it as fate that cannot be changed) then finally the community is responsible for you in death need I say much.
Community is big in business because it is made of up of you the business man and the customer the relationship is interlinked purposefully so as to develop each other. The business man makes sure the communities of customers are supplied with the right products at the right time and at the right price and the community of customers maintain their product loyalty towards the community of business men. When this cycles trend is constants over time in large volumes its called success in business. So without the customer, business is not business, and without traffic directed to business, business is thrown to the dogs. So to achieve success is to play the pleaser in the equation, where the business remains the dependent factor; Dependent on traffic from customers who require a service or a product.
