A.F.C Leopards were on target at the start of the washemeji derby threatening in the first minutes of the game after a series of smart passes between Noah Wafula and Walusimbi.
Their efforts were rewarded in the early minutes of the game when Noah Wafula beat Jerim Onyango with an easy shot placed to give the shemejis a one nil advantage.
Gor fans did not take it lightly and a scuffle ensued on the stands before the end of the first half which led to a longer than usual break.
Sserenkuma beat the A.F.C Leopards defense hanging high and scoring in the last hours of the first half to give Gor a chance of revenging there previous lose to there Shemejis.
The game was full of drama when Patrick Oboya was taken down unnecessarily by James Situma after the ball went out throw.
Sserenkuma made the Shemejis pay for their laxity after the long break at the half when a deflected shot fell onto the striker’s path after beating the offside trap to make it 2-1 early on after the second half.
Jerim Onyango was on point for Gor when Walusimbi tried a shot towards goal beating the defense only for the trusted keeper to save easily.
Jacob keli wasted a great chance when Mangoli set him up for a chance to make it level in the 73th minute.
Jerim Onyango could have given Gor fans something to cry about in the 75th minute being saved by his confident defense after he had spewed the ball towards James Situma who snaked in possibly for a goal.
A.F.C leopards had more chances of scoring in the second half after a series of shots were saved by the solid defense in Kogallo’s backline but a chance opened up when Jerim Onyango walked of his line only for Imbalambala to spot and confidently pick a spot for a second goal on in the 84th minute cancelling out Sserenkuma double.
The game ended with both teams satisfied with a draw Williamson and Pieter de Jongh greeting as a sign of good sportsman ship.
