Police arrest four thugs suspected to be Wash Wash in Kisumu Moi Stadium behind Nakumatt Megacity where they planned to con area resident a sum of Kshs. 450,000.
Three men and a lady who are a suspected con gang under the Wash Wash umbrella have been terrorizing the residents through their conning tactics were today conned by the members of the public where they were beaten and handed over to the Criminal Investigating Department (CID ) in Kisumu.
The gang of four lured their client to go and take money next to the Moi Stadium where he was given a box containing rubbles of blankets.
These guys called me to deliver money to me as we agreed here (Moi Stadium), only for them to come up with some box containing pieces of blankets to give me, said Kevine Kegoda.
Kegoda who was lured into the racket by the lady said that the deal was sealed that he was to get Ksh. 1,500,000 only come to find out that he was being conned by the men which is well known in the lake side city as Wash Wash.
Residents said we don’t want this act to continue in this area and if they are satisfied with living in this world let them come in this area again, said Odhiambo who works at the garbage site area
