The National Government has been asked to intervene and have the road leading to Muhoroni Market tarmacked as part of the C35 Road construction.
Muhoroni/Koru Ward Representative Willis Ogonyo says the contractors working on the Londiani – Muhoroni road had pulled down structures leading to the market.
Ogonyo says the contractors are now moving from site to Londiani leaving the road un-tarmacked.
He says funds were released and wondered why it is not not being constructed.
Speaking to Kisumu News in Kisumu, Ogonyo says he will not relent until that the Muhoroni road is constructed.
He says the market is now in a sorry state during this rainy season and appealed to the area MP Onyango Koyoo to intervene and have the Muhoroni road constructed.
Ogonyo told his people that the construction of the Muhoroni road is directly to the National Government and the County Government has no hand in it.
He says he has been accused of eating funds for that road noting that the funds are channelled directly to the contractor from the National Government.
