OVER 60 PRISON INMATES BAPTIZED.

Over 60 inmates from Siaya GK prison have been baptized and received spiritual nourishment by Siaya Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA)

The church and the Siaya GK prison come together to baptize the inmates who have changed and feel that they should abolish their bad doing and be born again

Speaking during the baptism ceremony in Bondo town, Siaya County, the presiding pastor Alfayo Otuoma said that Siaya Seventh Day Adventist Church has been baptizing inmates for the last three years as a way of spiritual nourishment.

Pastor Alfayo Otuoma said that the Church has among other things contributed to inmates’ well-being by providing them with personal effects like tissue papers and soaps.

During the event, SDA Church also sprayed the inmate dormitories to kill bedbugs and lice in a bid to make clean their sleeping environment.

Siaya SDA church has for the last three years baptized a total of 235 inmates with ten serving capital offences. Ten members of the public were also baptized.

This comes only aa few months when the Kings Messengers also have been busy working with the inmates in the Bungona prison 101 baptized inmates.

The inmates baptism is not new in Kenya, since prison have been visited to offer the spiritual nourishment to the inmates

And the following in December 25 prisoners from the Rachuonyo prison were baptized in Lake Victoria under armed guard by the Seventh Day Adventist which is under Ranen Field.

The prison commander had permitted the baptism outside the prison because of a lack of water inside, the following day 23, 2014 53 inmates joined the membership of the Seventh-day Adventist church at Migori Prison.
