National Youth Council (NYC) Migori County branch officials has now blamed leaders accusing them of under performing that has course the youths over the unemployment and under development they are facing as youths in the county.

The Secretary General of NYC Migori branch Mr. George Owiti said that the under performing political leaders were elected majorly by youths and therefore they should blame themselves for giving job to those leaders who cannot champion for their interest.

He said that most youths have exchanged their democratic rights with money hence electing those leaders who cannot deliver on development agenda that can raise their living standard.

Owiti who has been upset by these leaders act said that it is high time that the youths should start electing leaders who are ambitious in development programs that can benefits them and not be fool them by giving hand outs.

The youth leader who was speaking at a fund raising ceremony to a boda boda group at Kakrao Ward, Suna East Constituency said that youths have been misused by politicians during their quest for political post but sidelined after achieving their political ambition.

Mr. Owiti urged youths to start marking their score card to the incumbent political leaders in terms of their performance so that they cannot repeat the same mistake of voting non performing leaders.

He also urged the boda boda operators not to fix their mind on boda boda saying that they should also invest on other business ventures with their little savings.
