Police in Migori again gunned down three suspected gangsters after an
aborted robbery attempt near Bus Park Migori town.

Migori police boss Joshua Opiyo said police acted on a public tip off
that unknown people were planning to raid a boutique shop in town.

He said police at the mid of the night while on patrol near the stage
spotted six suspicious looking characters  near Bus Park but when the police commanded them to stand they jumped on nearby waiting two motorbikes took off towards Uriri.

Opiyo said police also decided to get the nearby motorbikes and followed
them immediately catching up with them at Nyasare, a small center at the periphery of the
Migori town where shooting occurred but police managed to gun down three of them on the spot.

Police recovered a homemade gun, one live round of ammunition, panga and a heavy crude metal including bike that the thugs ware using to escaped

Migori police boss said that they have good leads that will lead to the suspects who are now at large and asked the members of the public to assist in arresting to face full wrath of the law.

This comes only last weekend police killed a notorious criminal nicknamed “Otindo” near bridge prompting area police chief to send warning to the remaining gangsters to surrender or face their wrath.

The bodies were taken to Migori district mortuary.

Members of the public says that the county has been facing a spate of insecurity from Ogwedhi Masai to kuria where there is a lot of cattle rustling and asked them to beef it up so as the residents can do a little development. Says Akach
