Non-Governmental Organizations in Siaya County have been asked to consider rolling out psychotherapy counseling and guidance to young people in the region to curb rampant cases of domestic violence and suicide.
The local administrator in Rarieda Sub-County Mr. Maurice Onimbo said that there is need for proper guidance and counseling so as to avert such cases which are on the rise in the area.
Onimbo appealed to the NGOs to consider providing adequate mechanisms to young people on how they can solve their domestic and relationship problems rather than engaging into violence and committing suicide.
He attributed the escalating rate of suicide among the teenage to their love affairs differences revealed that the area records at least a suicide or a domestic violence case on a weekly basis.
There are several Non- Governmental working in the area which work in line of health that is believed can help reduce the situation
