SHABBIR TAKES TRUANT SPEAKER HEAD ON

Kisumu East Constituency MP Hon. Shakeel Shabbir has criticized Kisumu County Assembly Speaker Ann Adul for snubbing public functions in Kisumu.

The legislature says the speaker has on many occasions failed to attend public functions within the county without clear reasons on why.

The MP says all the functions he has attended in Kisumu county he has not met the speaker and wondered how she is conducting her business.

I have come to many holidays to meet my constituents who I represent to get their views on how we should lead them but this speaker has never attended even one

Speaking in Kisumu, Shabbir says that her style of leadership shows bad precedence that in future the speakers will not attend these function.

He says it is prudent for the speaker who was elected by members of county assembly of Kisumu to be present in all public functions together with members of county assembly.

Shabbir says she has got no business to be the county speaker if she cannot attend public functions in Kisumu County.
