Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga has announced that a task force is set to investigate in detail the cause of Kisumu County wrangles in the County Government of Kisumu.
Raila says it is the same task force that had been looking into the Kisumu County wrangles between the members of the County assembly and their Speaker Ann Adul after the former decided to impeach Adul.
He says the taskforce will submit their report this week to ODM top organ and immediately commence investigations of the executive wing.
Speaking in Kisumu, Raila says that the face-off between Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma and his Deputy Ruth Odinga was an impediment to the County’s development.
He says he has the mandate to end the wars in counties under CORD umbrella so as to establish a good working environment.
He further noted that wrangling remains a teething problem for most county governments across the country and not confined only to CORD areas.
Raila called upon the National Government to take the role to supervise the devolved units and address the challenges in the governance structure.
