Our Kenyan economy is fast going to the dogs after increasing cases of insecurity across the country. Our Presidents and Cabinet Secretary in charge of security have also decided to fight terror with terror a strategy that smells of a tit for tat strategy used by radical Muslims such as the forgotten Osama’s of the of the last century.
The Kenyan democracy is under siege by extremist ideologies of solving fundamental problems in society and our beloved president is no more a radical, when he allows our youths be rounded up without course, investigation and finally charged for idling and other misdemeanor reasons.
So next question is whether it is justified to allow such actions or was it a public relations exercise meant to restore confidence in the public eye, because over 200 youths were rounded up in Mombasa and Nairobi without due diligence and were un-democratically harassed because of security concerns in the Country.
These are the same youths without work expected to pay fines for release from charges that are forced by security personnel.
I understand Youths are the most vulnerable clique of individuals facing a number of challenges in the country and may or may not fancy terrorism as a means of earning but don’t we all face challenges including religious, cultural psychological and economic challenges .
The present Likoni church bombing and shooting is the latest attack that has raised eyebrows, threatening to create friction between Kenyan Christians and Muslims.
“Dawa ya Makafiri ni Bunduki” (guns are pagans medicine) .Said by Sheik Abubakar Sharrif Alias Makaburi during an interview with one of the national television
What kind of religion is this? What lifestyle does this man live by advocating capital punishment to all Kafiri´s, yet nothing or very little is done to investigate such statements and there source. Instead this same security personnel’s round up our challenged youths without investigation.
The sorry state of insecurity caused innocent baby Satin Asinya so much pain but the country forgot the numerous injured church revelers that suffered due to the so called normal criminal incidence as claimed by security personnel in charge in the coast.
Insecurity in Kenya today is even threatening to take down our natural resources. Poaching against our Rhinos and Elephants. A derailed mechanism of protecting our wild life with Kingpins taking charge of security and remuneration lapses within Kenya Wildlife Personnel
Our nation is suffering and Insecurity isn’t making it any easier for Kenyans Including me a normal unsatisfied Kenyan living without body guards hoping in the Lord that the security He offers is sufficient, like many Kenyans do.
With Utmost respect Mr President “Fanya Kitu wakenya wanaumia”.(Act, Kenyans are suffering)
