Kisumu County Assembly MCA’s have reacted furiously to claims by the Ann Adul that the some amount of money have been withdrawn from the assembly account.

The tussle over 17M withdrawn from Kisumu’s Assembly account started after Former County Assembly Speaker Ann Adul claimed the money was mismanaged.

Adul, had earlier claimed that during her absence from the office some amount was withdrawn in assembly account in that period after she was impeached by the MCAs.

Led by the Assembly Chief Whip Isaiah Onyango, the MCAs are now demanding that the ousted Speaker apologize to them within three days.

We don’t know where she has come up with all this narratives and we don’t know whether there is any loss of money in the assembly and if there is then she should come and let the committee of finance to launch investigation and the perpetrators be book and charged, Isaiah Onyango Assembly Whip

Onyango said failure to that they will take appropriate action against her, adding that she should desist from making such wild allegations in an attempt

Responding to questions from journalists that they have not done much to help leadership in the county Onyango insisted that MCAs have in the past tried to reconcile Adul with members but that has failed leading to her impeachment.

The acting Speaker Gabriel Ochieng also refuted the claims saying Adul is trying to shift attention of the public from serious matters on the table.

Ochieng said that the assembly operations have to run with or without Adul’s presence adding that they have the authority to transact activities in the assembly.

The assembly is firm, and all transaction and business in the assembly are continuing as per our business calender, Madam Adul should concentrate on the issue at hand that of impeachment.

Gabriel accused her for defaming employees characters without any proofs and as a lawyer she should have known that.

These are employees of the county assembly and if you get to here how she abused us here the that we don’t understand English yet she want to work with us how can you work with somebody whom you don’t understand each other with, what language are you going to communicate, Gabriel the Kondele Ward and Acting speaker in the assembly wondered.

This comes days after Adul break into the assembly offices and used abusive language in the assembly premises demanding that the office be opened for her.

She was impeached by 39 members of the assembly only three voted to retain her while six of them absconded the process.
