The Asian Community living in Kisumu have been given a raft of ideas on how to tackle security concerns that threatened their business operations in the lakeside city.
Kisumu District Police boss Moses Kong’oli urged the community to come together and put up a police post within the posh Milimani Estate.
Kong’oli says the Asian Community should pull together and establish a post and not to wait for the government since there is an available land.
Speaking in Kisumu during a security meeting with the Asian Business Community, the Police Boss says the Milimani Police Post will be very instrumental in ensuring security concerns within the estate and other adjacent estates are fixed.
Kisumu County Police Commander David Ngetich urged the Asian Community to profile their employees.
Ngetich says most of the workers collude with thugs to rob their employers.
He also warned construction firms against carrying huge amounts of money for payments to the workers.
Ngetich urged them to use the current technologies of payment through money transfer services.
